Privacy Policy

General Information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you. Detailed information on data protection can be found in our privacy policy listed below this text.

Data Collection on Our Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the legal notice of this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected in part by you providing it to us. This could be data that you enter into a contact form, for example.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this and other questions about data protection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

IP Anonymization

Google Analytics 4 anonymizes your IP address by default. Data processing is carried out on the basis of legal provisions. Google processes the data on our behalf and is contractually obligated not to pass it on to third parties.

Cookie Consent

Google Analytics is only activated after your explicit consent via our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure that no analytics data is collected without your consent.

Right to Object

You can change your cookie settings at any time by deleting the cookies stored in your browser or removing the localStorage entry "cookie-consent". The cookie banner will be displayed again on your next visit.

AI-Generated Content

Some of the content published on this website and in the newsletter — in particular the sections “AI News & Trending Topics”, “Business & Economy” and “The Best LLM” — is generated automatically using AI language models. For this we use Google's Gemini models via the Gemini API. Affected sections are labelled as AI-generated on the website.

The processing covers publicly accessible sources (including YouTube videos and web pages), not your personal data as a visitor. Simply visiting the website transmits none of your data to the AI model: content is generated in advance by scheduled processes and served from our database. The legal basis for content generation is our legitimate interest in providing editorial content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To prepare sources we also use the Firecrawl service to read publicly accessible web pages. No visitor data is processed here either.

Despite careful source selection, AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect. It does not constitute legal, tax or investment advice.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter we process your email address and, where provided, your first and last name. Registration uses a double opt-in procedure: after signing up you receive a confirmation email, and only after you confirm do we add you to the distribution list. For this we store a confirmation token and the times of dispatch and confirmation.

We use the Resend service (Resend, Inc., USA) for delivery. Resend processes your email address and name as a processor on our behalf and reports delivery and unsubscribe events back to us. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; Resend is additionally certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You may withdraw your consent at any time — via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or by writing to the address given in the legal notice. After unsubscribing we delete your data from the distribution list unless statutory retention obligations prevent this.

Hosting and Data Storage

This website is hosted by Vercel (Vercel, Inc., USA); it is served from the Frankfurt am Main region (fra1). When you access the website, Vercel processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time, requested resource and browser identifier.

Newsletter registrations and published content are stored in a database provided by Supabase (Supabase, Inc., USA). Data is held in the eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt am Main) — your data is therefore stored and processed within the European Union.

Both providers are based in the USA. Where access from a third country occurs in an individual case — for example by support or operations personnel — it is safeguarded by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which both providers incorporate upon acceptance of their terms of service.

Both services act as processors on our behalf. The legal basis for hosting and storage is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and for newsletter data your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
